The presence of orcas and interactions in the Strait area have decreased, although there are still killer whales there and some interaction has been recorded.

In recent weeks, data on sightings and interactions on the coast of Portugal have been arriving. Sightings have been detected on the coast of Faro and Tavira, interactions on the coast of Peniche, Figueira da Foz and Sines.

The orcas are beginning to move rapidly and widely to the north. At this time with intense interactions in Galicia, in front of Fisterra and with a trend towards the north. We recommend not navigating through this area at night to reduce risks and rescue difficulties.
