On March 3, 2023, the workshop "Interaction with orcas" took place in Lisbon, organized by the ICNF, the Portuguese Navy and the National Maritime Authority, with the collaboration of the Lisbon Naval Association and the National Cruise Association.
Ruth Esteban participated in this activity for the GTOA speaking about the biology of orcas and Alfredo López speaking about the summary of interactions since 2020.
The presence of representatives of the Navy, the entity responsible for maritime rescue in Portugal, the environmental administration, sailors and those responsible for acoustic and sighting projects from companies and universities completed a day of great interest, where, for the first time, all the agents they came together involving them in the interactions.
