Apresentação dos novos materiais em Vigo

Na última quinta-feira, 11 de abril, aconteceu no Espaço Cultural Río Lagares a apresentação dos novos materiais produzidos no âmbito do projeto Orcas Amizade, financiado pela Fundação Santander.
Tivemos o prazer de contar com Sara Bermúdez, Pepe Carreiro, Victor Tizón e Tokio neste dia.
Pepe Carreiro, criador e ilustrador de Los Bolechas, apresentou uma nova edição desta vez sobre orcas. A história é sobre os Bolechas lendo uma história antes de dormir, relacionada à biologia das orcas e às interações com os veleiros. <<Orcas, parentes da nossa família de mamíferos>>.
Alfredo López, conhecido no mundo da ilustração como Tokio, apresentou o livro Salseiro, que trata da biologia e das interações das orcas, oferecendo uma pequena banda desenhada explicativa, bem como algumas informações relacionadas com o projeto. <<Se eu pudesse estar ao lado de um cetáceo, gostaria de estar ao lado da orca>>. O salseiro inclui diversas ilustrações de diferentes artistas, como Sara Bermúdez, Víctor Tizón, Manel Cráneo, Emma Ríos e Cristina Otero.
Victor Tizón criou diversas imagens interpretando a superioridade humana sobre os demais seres vivos, além do sensacionalismo da imprensa. << Na vitrine da empresa do Sr. Homo sapiens há, presa em sangue, uma placa que diz: "Orcas. Liquidação total.">>
Sara Bermúdez criou a ilustração de uma orca voando pelo céu. <<Procuremos na terra a mesma coisa que ansiamos encontrar no universo e a ciência nos revelará seres mais inteligentes do que ousamos suspeitar e uma maior compreensão deles.>>
What a wonderful presentation of the new materials developed through the FriendSHIP Orcas project! 🐋 It’s inspiring to see so much creativity and science come together to educate people about the biology and interactions of orcas with engaging illustrations and stories. The way the event brought together artists, storytellers, and science advocates really reinforces how curiosity and learning can be shared across disciplines. As someone studying at Petrozavodsk State Medical University, I especially appreciate how initiatives like this promote curiosity and hands-on exploration beyond traditional classrooms — giving education vibes that remind me how important it is to connect academic knowledge with real-world awareness. Keep up the great work spreading knowledge and passion for conservation!
I really enjoyed reading about the presentation of the new Orca Ibérica materials in Vigo and felt like I was there with everyone at the Espaço Cultural Río Lagares soaking up the creativity and passion behind each illustration and story about orcas.
